Farmers get a better picture with FERTview
CSBP’s latest online precision agriculture tool, FERTview, is helping farming customers save time and boost crop yields through better farm management and tailored management processes.
FERTview complements CSBP’s Sampling Pro App and web portal, myCSBP, by enabling customer data with a location to be viewed on a customised Google Maps platform. This gives customers greater visibility and control of data gleaned from soil and plant analysis which is mapped alongside satellite imagery of their farms.
As a result, farmers can see how each part of their property is performing so they can create customised fertiliser plans and adapt their management practices to improve crop yields.
To date, fertiliser plans for more than 1,235 paddocks have been created on the back of the new technology.
FERTview was developed in conjunction with Google partner NGIS, and is the first commercial agricultural application in Australia built with the Google Earth Engine platform to be released publically.
