Target works to close the gap
Target’s commitment to closing the health gap continued in 2016 with two special camps for young Indigenous people aged 12-15. Presented in partnership with the Geelong Football Club and delivered under the guidance of the local Aboriginal advisory group, the camps were an opportunity for young Indigenous people to come together and connect to culture and celebrate identity.
As part of the ‘closing the gap’ camp, the participants worked with the Target design team to develop their own Geelong Cats Indigenous guernsey. The winner’s artwork was displayed on the Geelong Cats run-through banner at the AFL Indigenous Round match and was also showcased on the front cover of the AFL Record.
